Festivities - Christmas
Join us at the Royal Lion for Christmas, with our three night residential package.
From the moment you arrive on Christmas Eve, our warm and festive welcome includes a traditional Dorset Afternoon Tea in our seasonally decorated lounge from 2.30pm-5.00pm. In the evening, come join in the singing with our Christmas carollers, or just sit back and enjoy the sparkling cocktail and canapés served before the candlelit dinner in the Oak Room Restaurant. Midnight Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church, and afterwards upon return to the hotel, mulled wine and mince pies will be served in front of a roaring fire.
On Christmas Day, begin with our famous Dorset breakfast, with a Bucks Fizz reception and traditional four course Christmas Lunch, with musical accompaniment from our pianist, at the centre of the day. During the afternoon join us for a traditional cream tea in the historic Coaching Inn by the roaring fire. In the evening an informal buffet will be served in the Oak Room Restaurant.
Enjoy Boxing Day at your leisure. After breakfast, spend the day exploring the area, take in the breathtaking visual beauty of the ancient coastline and its wildlife, or relax in our pool with a swim. As the evening approaches, experience a candlelight wine tasting with dinner in the Oak Room Restaurant. For those of you who sadly have to leave us on the 27th December, enjoy a hearty breakfast to see you on your way, or make the most of your festive break and stay with us for a few additional nights.
